Who is Tim?
Recently retired from teaching, Tim is finally answering the call to be a healer. Growing up on an Alberta Farm, Tim has always wanted to heal animals, so he was told he wanted to be a vet. After a brief foray into pre-veterinary medicine, he realized that was not the right fit, and now, 30-years-later, he gets a second chance at a life of service. He doesn’t regret those years, however, as he learned a great deal about life, humility, and purpose.
Rugby has been one of Tim’s central passions. As a player and coach he discovered many ways the body can be injured, and used this education to gain a deeper understanding of how the body functions, and how it can be returned to high performance quickly. At the University of Victoria he received his Bachelors in Education, majoring in Biology and Physical Education, but taking all the kinesiology and anatomy he could. He became a personal trainer to help get himself through University, and this experience in helping others with their quality of life highlighted the gift it is to be of service. In later years, his fascination with energy work brought him a spiritual understanding of the body, and with it his Reiki credentials. Most recently, Tim has spent half of 2024 training under one of Canada’s largest and most experienced red light therapy clinics, Genoa Laser Therapy, to achieve his certificate as a Red Light Technician.
All this he brings to the clinic, and blends it with this fascinating technology to produce potentially life-changing results.
Who is Amanda?
Amanda is a registered acupuncturist who offers a gentle, holistic approach to healing—focused on helping people feel more ease, clarity, and connection in their bodies. She works with clients navigating stress, physical pain, emotional overwhelm, and fatigue, offering treatments that support the whole person, not just the symptoms.
Amanda earned her diploma in Acupuncture from Pacific Rim College in 2023 and is currently deepening her clinical skills through postgraduate training in Neijing Nature-Based Medicine. This lineage of Chinese medicine emphasizes how our health reflects the rhythms of nature, our daily habits, and the emotional patterns we carry. Her care is guided by this perspective—looking to the root of imbalances and gently supporting the body’s capacity to restore itself.
Her journey into acupuncture began early, when she saw how powerful it was in supporting the body’s natural healing process. At the same time, Amanda became aware of how overwhelmed the conventional medical system often is—leaving people with few options beyond symptom management. She was drawn to acupuncture for its ability to relieve pressure on the system while offering care that looks deeper, addressing the root causes of imbalance that Western medicine doesn’t always reach. This inspired her to pursue a path where she could support others with presence, patience, and a truly holistic approach.
In her treatments, Amanda draws on a variety of techniques, including acupuncture (with or without needles), cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, food therapy, and lifestyle guidance. She is especially inspired by the use of red light therapy as a needle-free acupuncture option, particularly for clients who feel nervous about traditional needling. It’s a gentle, noninvasive way to activate the body’s healing response and support those seeking a calmer entry point into care.
One of Amanda’s unique strengths is her ability to listen closely—not just to what clients say, but to how their body holds tension or emotion. Through careful attention and training, she has developed a sensitivity to patterns of discomfort that may be linked to stress, grief, or past experiences—offering insight that helps guide treatment in a grounded and supportive way.
Outside of the clinic, Amanda is committed to her own growth—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—believing that the more fully she cares for herself, the more present and effective she can be in her work. She finds joy in movement, nature, creativity, and building honest relationships with the people around her.
Amanda is honored to support you wherever you’re at in your journey—bringing presence, care, and thoughtful treatment to help you reconnect with your vitality and sense of peace.
